At the end of the first day it was three games all. On the second day Phil - the finger - Allmark (shown left wearing his winner's shirt) stormed ahead to win by seven games to four.

Stuart Hall (shown right) never gave up and each game was a close run thing. We have Phil's dad to thank for the title 'the finger' and Mr Gibbs for the victory sign!

Correy Morris (Photograph left) was a very convincing winner. He led by five games to one at the end of the first day and eventually won by seven games to two. Luke Broadbent had no answer to Correy's dazzling display.

Correy is the first unseeded player to reach a final let alone win it. The question to be asked is: Why wasn't he a seed?

As the cliche says, this was a game of two halves. Darren 'Dazzler' Baggott (left) played Richard Knox. Both were previous winners. They had not played each other in competition before.

The first day ended at three games all and everyone expected this to be yet another thriller. An excited crowd of sixty settled down to watch. Unfortunately, Richard wasn't feeling right on the second day and never got into the match.

The Dazzler won all four games to win seven, three.

Another thriller and the most skillful final played to date. The reigning Key Stage Three Champion, Alamin Miah from year eight, got through to the open final where he played Richard Knox from year ten. Both players had chances to win but it was Richard who eventually triumphed by 7 games to 6.

The crowd were on the edge of their seats, especially when the thirteenth game ended in a draw. A fourteenth had to be played! Phew!

Alamin Miah started as the clear favourite and on the first day took a 4 - 1 lead. On the second day, to gasps of amazement, Luke Broadbent pulled back to 6 -5 and should have levelled the match. He missed a ridiculously easy green when he 'flipped' the shooter up in the air - a freak shot. Alamin went on to win 7 -5.

One hundred and twenty spectators crowded into E02 to watch an absolutely thrilling contest. Our apologies to those of you who couldn't get in. We were full. Darren 'Dazzler' Baggott (above right) won the match by seven games to six with the final shot of the match.

Until that last shot he had never been in the lead. You've got to feel for the brave runner up Scott 'Hammer' Haynes. The skill level was tremendously high and the atmosphere was electrifying.
